Peter Horne is an experienced theatre designer having worked in opera and ballet and drama for companies such as Houston Grand Opera, Grand Ballet Canadien, Houston Ballet. He has had extensive experience as technical and production director for Glyndebourne. He is currently designing the scenes for Ballet Met's forthcoming Nutcracker 2010. Several times in his working life he has interupted his theatre career to pursue his passion for painting and drawing preferring to work in oils, watercolour, pastel and charcoal. His contemporary paintings have been heavily influenced by colourfield painters such as Rothco, etc. Peter works from his studio at Camber, East Sussex, UK.
